Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore is appealing to the community to support Bowl for Kids’ Sake, the mentoring organization’s biggest annual fundraiser, which raises money needed to carefully pair volunteer mentors with children who face adversity in staff-supported, long-term mentoring friendships.  

All-you-can-eat chocolate desserts for a good cause? Count us in! Check out the Grand Valley State University Women's Center's ninth annual "Indulge for a Cause" Thursday, February 21 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Eberhard Center on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus.

Applications are now available for the 2013 ATHENA Scholarship program of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce. This unique scholarship program, part of the Chamber’s ATHENA Award program, is for women aged thirty or older who are working to complete a degree program at an accredited college or university. Women can choose to use ATHENA Scholarship funds for whatever helps them achieve their degree, whether that’s tuition and books or transportation and child care expenses. 

WOOD TV8/WOTV 4 Women are pleased to announce the expansion of Maranda's show, "Maranda Where You Live" from a half hour weekly program to a daily show. Beginning today, "Maranda Where You Live" will air weeknights at 7 p.m. on WOTV 4 Women.

West Michigan Women's Expo turns fifteen years this year, and will celebrate with a Caribbean-themed birthday party when the show returns to Grand Rapids, March 8-10.
