More women than ever were elected to U.S. Congress in 2012, yet Michigan lost three seats held by women in the state House of Representatives.

Parenting: From Survival to Success is a class that will be taught at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services Southwest Clinic. The six-week class series will be held on Thursdays, April 11 through May 16, 2013.  

The Western Michigan University Grand Rapids Beltline location will host a two-day Graduate Fair on Tuesday, May 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Wednesday, May 22, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A light lunch will be provided during Tuesday’s event. Information will be available for the following programs:

On May 22, 2013, your American Cancer Society will celebrate its one hundredth birthday—one hundred years of savings lives. Join in and help make some noise! On Wednesday, May 22, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at West Michigan Caterer (located at Centennial Country Club), the Finish The Bite cupcake competition will help Finish the Fight against cancer.
