Wine-A-Palooza is a wine-tasting event created by Bob Johnson, owner of West Michigan Caterer. This year’s event takes place Friday, July 12, at West Michigan Caterer and Banquet Center (formerly Centennial Country Club). Tasting takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and there will be live music from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Forty-eight international wines will be available for tasting, and a cash bar and food tickets are also available. The Chef Series at the Holland Farmers Market kicked off for the 2013 season Saturday, May 18. Each week, the popular series features a talented local chef, caterer, or vendor who will demonstrate how to incorporate the fresh produce, herbs, and other ingredients available at the market into healthy, creative, easy-to-make dishes. The Chef Series is held every Saturday morning at 10 a.m., through September 14, and is free to attend. Copies of the recipes the chefs create are available for aspiring chefs during the demonstration and will available for download on the Farmers Market website following the demonstration.  

Gather up your girlfriends for the sixth annual Ladies Tee Party Charity Golf Scramble on Friday, June 21 at the Gracewil Golf Club in Grand Rapids! The event benefits the Sleeping Angels Endowment of Spectrum Health Foundation. 

After nearly thirty years of providing cosmetic and plastic surgery to patients in downtown Grand Rapids offices, the Centre for Plastic Surgery announced plans to construct a state-of-the-art facility in Southeast Grand Rapids. The build-out of the Centre’s new 11,500-square-foot surgical center at the Heritage Pointe office building on East Paris recently started, and the move-in is anticipated for June 2013.
