Enhance your perspective at this Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Facing Racism event at Steelcase Inc. University, November 7and 8. The Institute for Healing Racism is the areas's leading program for uncovering racism and understanding its impact on individuals and the workplace. More than two thousand people have attended since 1997.
The two-day Institute's course design includes dialogue, videos, literature, and group exercises. Participants examine the history and pathology of racism, unaware and institutionalized racism, privilege, ally building, and ways to combat racism.
