The Michigan Irish Music Festival returns to Heritage Landing, September 13-15, 2013, in downtown Muskegon, and features Irish and Celtic music on three stages. Come hungry and fill up as the Celtic Kitchen and Bob and Bernie's Pub serve authentic Irish food and beverages including Irish Fest Stout, Irish Cream, and other products. Don’t miss other festival activities such as the Irish Marketplace, children's activities, a cultural center, and a session tent. A popular highlight on Saturday is the Michigan FEIS, an Irish dance competition. Sunday morning, a Catholic mass will be held at 9 a.m., followed by a traditional Irish breakfast. The festival offers an Early-In Free promotion on Friday only, from 5-6 p.m. Purchase tickets online for $10 on Friday (5-11 p.m.), $15 on Saturday (11 a.m. to 11 p.m.), and $10 on Sunday (8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Tickets at the booth are $15 Friday, $20 Saturday, and $15 on Sunday. Three-day passes are $30 online and $40 at the ticket booth. Free All Weather Alert Radio's will be available at Metron Facilities courtesy of the Department of Homeland Security on Wednedsay, August 28, from 12-2 p.m. at Metron of Forest Hills, and on Thursday, August 29, from 2-4 p.m. at Metron of Lamont. 

Wine & Canvas and the Alzheimer's Association invite you to join them for a fundraising event on Thursday, August 29, from 6-9 p.m. at Notos. The event will benefit the association and its Memory Walk. Whether you are an experienced painter, want to learn, or want to just have fun trying, this is an opportunity to have fun while supporting a great cause.
