A Journey of Healing: The Compassionate Mission Behind Kindness Powered Skincare

Natalie Novak's journey into the skincare industry wasn't driven by profit but by a personal loss. Her grandmother's battle with cancer inspired her to create skincare that offers more than beauty—it provides natural, restorative care to those who need it most.

Novak's path to becoming the CEO of Kindness Powered Skincare began in 1987 while working for a high-end skincare brand. During an earthquake, she witnessed the shocking aftermath: luxury skincare products had spilled, and their ingredients were corroding the carpet beneath them. This alarming discovery led her to ask a critical question: if these products could do that to a carpet, what were they doing to people's skin?

Determined to make a difference, Novak, along with co-founder Ron Webb—an aerospace engineer—set out to create a skincare line that was truly kind to the skin. Together, they developed DermaNū Technology®, a revolutionary system that uses thermal, radio frequency, and sound waves to micronize wild-gathered, food-grade ingredients. This groundbreaking process ensures that nutrients penetrate deeply into the skin, delivering unparalleled care and healing.

Kindness Powered Skincare is more than just a name—it's a philosophy rooted in compassion. Every product is designed to be gentle yet effective, reflecting Novak's commitment to nurturing and protecting the skin, especially for those undergoing cancer treatment.

This mission led to a transformative partnership with Hello Gorgeous, an organization dedicated to helping women with cancer feel beautiful and confident. Kindness Powered Skincare not only donates a portion of its proceeds to this cause but also provides restorative facials to women fighting cancer. These treatments have made a significant difference, helping women regain their confidence and sense of self during one of the most challenging times of their lives.

"Finding products that don't irritate or cause further discomfort to the skin can be a struggle for someone going through cancer treatment," said Kim Becker, Founder of Hello Gorgeous. "I am so fortunate to have the ability to confidently recommend KPS essentials to the women we serve, with cancer, through our Hello Gorgeous! program. Their products are gentle, soothing and incredibly effective. I am so grateful for a skincare that understands the unique needs of cancer patients."

Expanding this compassionate mission, Kindness Powered Skincare has partnered with leading hospitals in Southern California known for their oncology care and a prestigious five-star hotel chain that exclusively uses KPS products. Together, they offer restorative facials to cancer patients, both in the comforting environment of the hospitals and the luxurious settings of the hotels. This collaboration provides patients with much-needed relief and rejuvenation, combining the healing power of advanced skincare with the soothing ambiance of a world-class spa.

For Novak, success isn't measured in sales but in the smiles of the women who, despite their battles, can look in the mirror and see their beauty shining through. Through Kindness Powered Skincare, she honors her grandmother's memory and brings hope and healing to those who need it most.
