I think I may be in the minority, but I’m not really experiencing much holiday stress. I know, I know—don’t throw anything at me just yet. The truth is while I have plenty of stress in my daily life, I have a very non-traditional approach to Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.

As the mother of two-year-old, twin boys, there are certain realities I accept. My house won’t be really clean for a long time, and I will have daily conversations about who has a peepee, and who doesn’t. I accept these realities, because they come along with my boys greeting me at the door at the end of each day. And that’s such a joyful thing—you can’t even begin to imagine that kind of joy before you have children.
