Janis Petrini is Founder and Co-Owner of Express Employment Professionals and Specialized Recruiting Group – Grand Rapids, and Frontline Training Solutions. For 30 years, she has advanced workforce and economic development across West Michigan, helping more than 20,000 individuals secure meaningful employment and partnering with over 1,000 businesses to strengthen workforce strategy and leadership capacity.

A recipient of the Gordon Blair Heritage Award—the highest honor within the Express Employment Professionals’ global network of over 900 franchises— Petrini is recognized for business excellence and service-driven leadership. She leads with a faith- and community centered philosophy, investing in people, developing leaders, and stewarding long-term regional growth. Petrini’s community involvement includes serving on the boards of philanthropic outlets like the Pine Rest Foundation, mentoring with non-profits like SpringGR, and more.

Michele Suchovsky was born in the U.P., and after moving around a bit, settled with her family and younger brother in Grand Rapids her junior year of high school. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, and later, her Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame Law School. It was during those formative college years that Suchovsky first became familiar with Paws With A Cause (PAWS) through a friend who had a PAWS dog, named WAGER.
