Embellished boots and statement-making jewelry are a cinch to pull off. Want proof? Boutique Emmanuel owner Sarah Knapp shows us this fall's latest obsessions—at great price points.
Get a Leg Up
When it comes to trends in footwear, Knapp is still seeing a lot of flat boots for fall. "It's the equestrian style—a tall boot with a flatter heel." Popular embellishments include buttons, snaps and a bit of fringe, with shorter ankle boots having a huge presence. "You can wear them with skinny jeans and leggings, and height-wise it looks good on everybody." Boutique Emmanuel prides itself on carrying inexpensive, trendy boots that won't set you back too far. Knapp has been admiring a quilted bootie with zipper detailing on the side. "It's something I can dress up with skirts in a cognac, sort of rust color." Remember, it's not just a browns and blacks game with boots: Pick a classy slate color to add to your arsenal.
Get That Sparkle!
If you still have a lot of silver in your wardrobe, you're in luck! (Finally, right?) "Silver is by far the biggest trend we see in our store." Bold, chunky statement necklaces still have their place in today's fashion, but a new look is making the rounds. Long pieces you wrap around to different lengths look great with turtlenecks and long sweaters, and even some delicate, smaller-strand pieces are showing up. The hot new front/back earrings are here as well, in classic looks with a bit of a twist. Prices range from $19.95 to $29.95, so this accessory that won't break the bank but still packs a lot of punch.
"You set yourself aside from somebody else when you have that one fun piece that adds a little uniqueness to your look," said Knapp. Check out the store's boots and baubles inventory, and try to tell us you can live without these looks.
