Project & Marketing Manager, Licensed Builder | Snowden Builders LCC
Stephanie Snowden is a licensed residential builder and community advocate dedicated to strengthening the future of construction in West Michigan. Over the past decade, she’s grown from entering the industry with no prior construction background to becoming a leader focused on mentorship, workforce development, and expanding opportunities for women in the trades.
Snowden served five years as President of the Professional Women in Building Council of Greater Grand Rapids, where she helped grow membership significantly and establish programs that continue to fund scholarships and mentorship initiatives. She’s also the co-founder of Built by Women West Michigan, an annual industry event that draws more than 400 attendees and raises thousands of dollars each year to support women entering construction. In addition, she serves as Chair of the HBA of Michigan Young Professionals Committee and Co-Chair of the Lakeshore HBA Young Professionals Committee, helping develop the next generation of industry leaders across the state.
“No one builds a career or achieves success alone. In my opinion, there’s no such thing as being completely self-made. Every step forward is shaped by the people who guide us, challenge us, and support us along the way. Mentorship is simply my way of continuing that cycle—helping build others up the same way I was built up.”
