Nikeidra Battle-DeBarge is a credible leader and a tenacious spirit within the social services field. With over 18 years of experience in case management, program development and advocacy for youth and families, Nikeidra is working every day to make a difference in West Michigan. “I approach obstacles head on with the mindset that failure is not an option,” says Nikeidra. “Not in the sense that I won’t fall short or make mistakes along the way, but that I will show up to the challenge and not give up on myself or my goals.” In 2012, Nikeidra co-founded the nonprofit organization New Destiny Pathways Inc, which provides affordable and supportive independent-living housing to young women, ages 17-21, who are aging out of the foster care system. Nikeidra also serves as Coordinator for the Manasseh Project, an outreach ministry of Wedgwood Christian Services dedicated to ending the sexual exploitation of young women and men in West Michigan.
