Downtown Grand Rapids Scarecrow Contest brings more than 20 local businesses together.
If you're looking for some autumnal fun in West Michigan, the Downtown Grand Rapids Scarecrow Contest is the perfect opportunity to feel all the fall vibes. The contest sees over 20 local businesses showcasing their individual and uniquely decorated scarecrows outside their locations and even gives the public a chance to vote for their favorite!
Running now through October 26, the contest winner is decided by visitors casting their votes by scanning the QR codes or visiting bit.ly/scarecrowgr. Everyone is encouraged to take part—and what a fun addition to strolling around amongst the crunchy leaves and spooky breeze downtown this fall!
"We're thrilled to see so many businesses participating this year, bringing a festive and creative spirit to downtown Grand Rapids," said Kayla Benda, organizer of the event through the Hotel District Business Association. "This is a great way to celebrate the season, support local businesses, and get the community involved."
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
- Scarecrow Displays and Public Voting: See the scarecrows now through October 26 outside participating businesses downtown and vote for your favorite!
- Weekend Refreshments: Hot cider and snacks will be available during weekends (while supplies last).
- Share Your Experience: Use the hashtag #GRScarecrows on social media to share photos and engage with the community.
