Sunday, May 13—Mother's Day—marks the last day of Holland's 2018 Tulip Time Festival. Plenty will be going on to celebrate.
- Delight in mom's special day at Tulip Time's first-ever Moederdag Market (Dutch for Mother's Day) held in beautiful Centennial Park.
This event features specially selected merchants, live performances, demonstrations, gourmet food trucks and even magnificent carriage rides drawn by the famous Clydesdales. - Experience the tulips like never before at Yoga in the Tulips.
This new event, which will be held twice on Mother's Day, offers a gentle yoga flow that is perfect for beginners as well as more experienced yogis. Yoga in the Tulips is a lighthearted, relaxing experience. - Save the last dance for the Dutch Dancers.
The famous Tulip Time Dutch Dancers will be performing the last dance of the 2018 festival at 3 p.m. in Centennial Park. - Visit the Holland Area Arts Council to enjoy the beauty of the Art In Bloom Tulip Time poster competition Top 20 artist's works.
While there also stroll through the Quilt Show, featuring a unique display of over 100 exquisite handmade quilts created by local artists. - Step aboard history.
The tall ship Friends Good Will, a replica Great Lakes sloop from 1810 owned and operated by the Michigan Maritime Museum, will be sailing into Holland this year for Tulip Time. Dutch heritage is deeply intertwined with water, trade and the art of sailing. Through the partnership of Tulip Time and the Michigan Maritime Museum, visitors will have the opportunity to step aboard history, explore and experience this remarkable vessel. The ship will be located in Holland at Boatwerks Restaurant, East Dock, May 9 – 13. - Step right up and enjoy the fun!
Thrilling rides, lots of carnival food and fun for all ages can be had at the Tulip Time Carnival, from 1-5 p.m. on Mother's Day. - Take a tour.
Think you know everything there is to know about Holland? You might be surprised as Tulip City Tours' knowledgeable, Dutch-costumed guides narrate the history of the city and its famous festival. Tours run from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
