So far, this winter hasn't given us too much to whine about ... but we don't need a reason to enjoy Wine About Winter, Grand Haven's annual wine and art event.
Friday, January 16, from 5 – 9 p.m., a collection of businesses in Grand Haven's Centertown and Downtown districts invite the public to sample wines and peruse the work of local artists. Sip shiraz and chardonnay while listening to area artists discuss their work, displayed at various venues around town.
Tasting packages (available at various Main Street Merchant locations) are $10 in advance of the event and include a commemorative wine glass and starter tasting tickets. The trolley will be available to take you between all participating businesses, from 6 – 9 p.m.
As you travel to each venue, you will receive a postcard, which can be used as an entry into the prize drawing that includes many items donated by local businesses. The more postcards you collect, the more chances you have to win! The prize drawing will be held at 9 p.m., at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum at 200 Washington. You must be present to win.
Head down to Grand Haven's Main Street and "wine" a bit. You'll feel better!
You must be 21 or older with a valid ID to participate in the wine tasting.
