The East Grand Rapids branch of the Kent District Library kicks off the Michigan Authors Night series Thursday, October 16, from 6 – 8 p.m.
The event will feature:
- Aric Davis, author of Tunnel Vision, a new murder mystery. One of his earlier works, Nickel Plated, was described by Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn as "dark but human, chilling and sometimes heart-breaking work of noir."
- Charles Honey, author of Faith on First: Thoughts on God, Nature and Sacrifice Bunts. Honey has been writing religion columns for the Grand Rapids Press for more than twenty years. His book is a series of short essays reflecting on people of faith, everyday spirituality, and America's pastime—baseball.
- John Kozak, author of Through the Eyes of Rose, details the author's story of escape from the communist regime in Czechoslovakia at age seven, led by his mother, Rose, through the wilderness of the Bohemian Forest to freedom in West Germany.
- Rick Sigsby, author of Michigan's Holy Water: the Great Lakes Wine Bible, which focuses on wine-making in Michigan, and the regions wineries and vintners' stories.
