The Fourth of July is right around the corner—and with it comes food, fun, and fireworks! Looking for something to do over the holiday? Here are some suggestions.
Celebration on the Grand
Fourth of July Fireworks
Two hot events! One cool weekend! This year's Celebration on the Grand activities and festivities take place Friday, July 4, at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in downtown Grand Rapids. Enjoy a day of food, beverage, music, and more, on the banks of the Grand River. On Saturday, July 5, be dazzled by the sparkle and boom of the Amway Family Fireworks following a day of music and entertainment, also at Ah-Nab-Awen Park. All events and activities are open and free to the public.
32nd Annual Fourth of July Celebration
Charlton Park in Hastings is the place to be for an old-fashioned Fourth! Find games, watermelon- and pie-eating contests, a pie auction, ice cream and lemonade, and more at this day of fun.
July 4th Fireworks Cruise
A trip aboard Muskegon's Port City Princess will allow an unforgettable view of the fireworks. Enjoy a picnic buffet and an evening on the water. But don't forget to make your reservation for this special cruise!
Fourth of July Lawn Party
There's fun to be had in Spring Lake, where the Holiday Inn and Jack's on the Waterfront host their annual lawn party. Enjoy an evening of backyard barbecue specials, kids club activities, live music, and—of course!--fireworks.
4th of July Fireworks
Grand Haven's annual fireworks display lights up the sky over the lake, after the evening's Grand Haven Musical Fountain presentation. Waterfront Stadium is where the fireworks happen!
Of course, there's always that good ol' picnic by the beach, cookout in the back yard, neighborhood lemonade stand feel to the weekend—so you might even want to create a celebration or start a tradition of your own. Bicycles and teddy bears on parade, anyone?
Enjoy the holiday!
