Amazing Things Are Happening in Healthcare

Engage with the West Michigan Woman Community!

Women in healthcare: It's time to invest in yourself, so you may better serve others.

Whether you're connected to healthcare through law, finance, insurance or clinical experience, the Western Michigan Healthcare Financial Management Association invites you to attend the second annual Women in Healthcare Leadership Event, January 18, 2018, from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Grand Valley State University's Eberhard Center.

Building on last year's theme of inspiring and connecting women, this year's event focuses on educating and empowering women in both personal and professional growth.

"The best thing about working in healthcare is that I can see the impact of our work on the community, our neighbors, our friends and our family," said Jane Gietzen, Director of Information Services and Hospitality Operations at Spectrum Health.

Gietzen will be one of two keynote speakers to take the stage and share her story. She will be joined by Becky Anderson, a financial advisor with Edward Jones.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry at Spectrum Health, Gietzen will lead women through unique opportunities to connect with one another.

"Being part of the growth of [Spectrum Health] over the past two decades has been amazing," said Gietzen.

"We moved from being the merger of two community hospitals to providing quaternary level of care for people all over the world and proving high-quality affordable care and insurance coverage to our patients and members. We have an impressive team of people working here, and we are doing amazing things."
