Get Creative at Lakeshore Art Festival

Engage with the West Michigan Woman Community!

Shopping, art, wine, kid's activities, entertainment and food: What more could you want on a holiday weekend?

Every year the first Friday and Saturday of July, the Lakeshore Art Festival in Downtown Muskegon is host to over 350 juried fine artists, craft gurus, street performers, artisan food market, Children's Lane and much more. Recognized as no. 1 in Michigan for contemporary and classic shows by Sunshine Artist Magazine, this festival has something for everyone!

If bragging rights for a one-of-a-kind piece of art is what you're on the hunt for, you'll want to hit the fine art section in Hackely Park first. Featuring 120 fine artists, stage entertainment and our Wine & Beer Garden, you'll be sippin' and strollin' while you hunt for your artful gems!

If hand-crafted goods are more your speed, look no further than the eight blocks of exhibitors that create and design everything from scratch including clothing, toys, jewelry, home décor and much more! While perusing the craft and artisan food section, you may stumble upon our community art project where you can explore your own crafty talents—for free. From there, take a seat at a picnic table in front of another stage while enjoying an amazing frozen delight from Ice Box Brand Ice Cream Bars.

If it's the kids you want to entertain, Step Into Art at The Children's Lane, where over 20 booths of artful activities, entertainment and non-stop fun await! Kids can dance with the butterflies, paint their own personal 8x10 canvas, be entertained by acrobats, take part in a scavenger hunt and hear from local authors—all while slurpin' on a freshly squeezed lemonade.
