Downtown Holland Seeks Ambassadors to Greet and Assist Visitors

Engage with the West Michigan Woman Community!

Downtown Holland is currently accepting applications for its popular Downtown Ambassador Program. The program, scheduled to begin in June, seeks to improve the overall customer experience in downtown Holland by ensuring a cleaner, safer, and friendlier environment.

The ambassadors will serve as welcoming representatives of downtown Holland and be tasked with providing maps and directions, escorting customers to destinations, recommending downtown shops and eateries, providing parking information, identifying cleanliness issues, and, most important, sharing a smile and keeping a watchful eye on the district.

Downtown Holland Ambassadors—in their bright yellow shirts and pith helmetswill be easily recognizable to visitors and equipped with iPads, umbrellas, maps, and brochures to help assist with any visitor needs. The program will run seven days a week, rain or shine, from June through August.

Applications for the Downtown Ambassador program are being accepted until Friday, May 17. Applicants should be friendly, personable, and approachable, with excellent customer service skills and a working knowledge of Downtown Holland. Applications are being accepted online only at http://bit.ly/HEJkSd.
