Experience Grand Rapids and the Kent County Lodging Association announced the opening of the sixth annual WAVE Award nominations. This awards program recognizes outstanding service providers in the Grand Rapids and Kent County hospitality industry. Nominations will be accepted from both employers and guests until October 7, 2013. One award will be presented in each category:
Transportation
Retail and Service
Attractions/Events
Nightlife
New categories for 2013:
Restaurants/Breweries
Lodging—less than 150 rooms
Lodging—more than 150 rooms
Volunteer in Hospitality
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and recognized at the Impacting Hospitality Celebration on November 21, 2013, in conjunction with the International Wine, Beer & Food Festival. Employers, nominees, and guests are all encouraged to attend this event.
Multiple sponsorships are available. Award sponsors will become the official presenters of each of the eight WAVE Awards. One event sponsor will support the Impacting Hospitality Celebration. All sponsors will receive recognition at the ceremony, logo placement on the WAVE Awards website, and tickets to the ceremony.
