Improving Social Communication in Children With ASD: Initial Efficacy of a Blended Intervention Model

Engage with the West Michigan Woman Community!

Tomorrow, Brooke Ingersoll, PhD, BCBA-D, Michigan State University, will speak about autism in Michigan at the next (and last) Grand Rounds luncheon. This event is free and open to the public. Healthcare professionals and parents of children with autism are encouraged to attend. The luncheon will also introduce a new program for autistic children that will help them develop functional communication and other core skills.

Join others at the Hope Network Education Center, located at 775 36th Street SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan. The talk will take place from noon to 1 p.m., and free pizza will be provided.

Ingersoll will discuss a new intervention that melds behavioral and developmental philosophies to help young children with autism develop functional communication and other core skills. ImPACT has a flexible delivery model and could be delivered at high or low intensity, and parents could be trained to extend the intervention beyond the confines of the therapy session.
