Free Seminar on Reproductive Endocrine Disorder

Engage with the West Michigan Woman Community!

Doctor William G. Dodds, founder of the Fertility Center, has announced a special free seminar taking place Thursday, September 20, on the subject of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), a common reproductive endocrine disorder that affects roughly 5 percent of women.

The seminar, which is open to the public, is being held from 6-8pm in the Wave Room at the Celebration Cinema North. All past, present, and future patients of the center are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served prior to the seminar.

Dr. Dodds notes that PCOS is a common cause of infertility as well as menstrual irregularity and excessive hair growth. Women with PCOS may also be at risk of cholesterol abnormalities, hypertension, and insulin resistance. There is also increased risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes and heart disease.

Whether your main goal is fertility-related or not, PCOS should be treated as soon as possible because of its long-term health risks. At the seminar, Dr. Dodds and Barb Meconis from Holistic Care Approach will provide a wealth of information about PCOS, its causes, and possible therapies, including diet and exercise.

To reserve your spot at the free PCOS seminar, or for more information, call Amy Wade at 877-904-4483 ext 128, or click here to e-mail her.
