The highly anticipated Art in the Park event returns on Saturday, September 7, 2024, promising a spectacular showcase of artistic talent.
Hosted by the Rogue River Artists Association (RRAA) and sponsored by Rockford Footwear Depot, this beloved annual art fair has become a tradition in the Rockford area.
NEW LOCATION, SAME CREATIVE SPIRIT
Due to ongoing construction in the Garden Club Park and along the White Pine Trail, Art in the Park will temporarily relocate to the parking lot across Main Street from the Rockford Footwear Depot. Despite the change in venue, the vibrant energy and artistic flair that define this event will remain intact.
Angela Sist, Co-Chair of Art in the Park, expressed her enthusiasm: "This year, we're not just celebrating art; we're celebrating the community. The move to the Rockford Footwear Depot allows us to invite more regional artists to participate."
A FEAST FOR THE SENSES
Art in the Park will feature 52 juried regional artists, each bringing their unique vision to life. Visitors can expect stunning paintings, captivating photography, artistic jewelry crafted from various materials, intricate paper creations, whimsical illustrations, inventive ink drawings, hand-thrown pottery, ceramic art, hand-carved woodwork, cozy textiles and unique wearables. There truly is something for art enthusiasts of all ages.
The event will also spotlight 20 local artists from the Rogue River Artists Association, adding a touch of homegrown talent to the mix. Their passion and dedication shine through in every creation.
"Our artists pour their hearts into their work, and this event is their canvas," added Bob Brown, Co-Chair of Art in the Park. Whether you're a seasoned collector or a first-time visitor, you'll find inspiration in every artist tent."
