Celebrate St. Patrick's Day and Irish Heritage with Muskegon's 2024 parade and festivities.
Put on your green and bring your family and friends to downtown Muskegon on Saturday, March 16, 2024 to the 11th annual Muskegon St. Patrick's Day Parade! Stepping off at 11 a.m. from 6th Street along Western Avenue to 2nd Street, the parade celebrates Muskegon's rich Irish Heritage and is set to include a large array of local businesses and community members celebrating the spirit of St. Patrick's Day.
This family-oriented parade is sponsored by JCI Greater Muskegon, Morrison Industrial Equipment Co., Cisco Door & Gate, and Unruly Brewing Co. Parade organizers shared that Jessie Wilde from Wilde Jessie Consulting would serve as the Grand Marshal of the parade. Wilde is a current member of the Jaycees and serves on the board of directors for the Michigan Irish Music Festival. All marchers and attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food donations to benefit local non-profit organization, Mission for Area People.
"This parade has a special way of lifting people's spirits," said DeMarcus Evans, President of JCI Greater Muskegon. "Between seeing all of the groups marching and people in the crowd pulling out all the stops to show their Irish pride, it's almost impossible to not have a great time."
Also happening in downtown Muskegon on Saturday, March 16 is the Shamrock Shuffle 5K organized by Run Muskegon, Muskegon Lumberjacks game with St. Paddy's Day theme, and a fully day of live music and entertainment at Unruly Brewing Co.
