This year, the Tulip Time Festival in Holland celebrates its 90th Anniversary!
In honor of this milestone, we are commemorating our ties to the Netherlands with some flair by painting the town orange! Amsterdam celebrates their monarch’s birthday heralding the House of Orange, where citizens dress not only themselves, but also the entire city in orange for the festivities. For our 90th anniversary, Tulip Time invites everyone to do the same.
Millions of tulips burst forth spectacular blooms throughout the city; hundreds of colorfully costumed Dutch Dancers klomp their way through the streets; fabulous floats and marching bands dazzle spectators in parades extending over two miles of pure celebration; the exuberant sounds of town criers hail through the crowd.
While celebrating these rich traditions, we also invite you to explore some of the fun, new events. Join us at the opening night concert featuring Hotel California—the original Eagles tribute band. Tap into your creativity at the Modern Delft Art Party or sharpen your photography skills at a Sunrise Photo Walk. Experience Dutch food in a completely new way with our Dutch Culinary series. Join us for Yoga in the Tulips and party in Washington Square at our first ever Bier Klomp. The closing weekend features acclaimed late-night TV show host and admired stand-up comedian, Jay Leno. The festival’s grand finale ends with a fabulous firework display in Kollen Park.
