Looking for a way to shop charitably this upcoming holiday season?
You're in luck! Junior League of Grand Rapids (JLGR) presents Beneath the Wreath, a charitable shopping event offering shoppers a way to check items off their holiday gift lists while benefitting community members in need.
Beneath the Wreath is a refreshing alternative to traditional shopping, with over 40 juried exhibitors featuring the best in stylish women's clothing and accessories, holiday and home décor, handmade arts and crafts, children's clothing, men's gifts, and specialty local and gourmet foods.
Even better: 100 percent of ticket sales and 15 percent of all exhibitor sales directly support JLGR charity projects dedicated to improving children's physical health in the West Michigan community, including Kids in the Kitchen and the Junior League Wellness Adventure Yard (JL W.A.Y.)
"Beneath the Wreath is the Junior League of Grand Rapids' main fundraiser," said Lauren Jacoby, President of Junior League of Grand Rapids. "Through entry fees, wreath raffles and vendor contributions, we are able to fund programs that support our mission. This volunteer-run event attracts thousands of attendees each year!"
Beneath the Wreath has been around for 34 years now, attracting new and return shoppers each year who want to walk away with a great gift for their loved ones—knowing their purchase makes an impact and betters their neighborhood.
The event will be kicked off with a Premier Party on Thursday, November 8, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. with special deals, hearty appetizers, delicious desserts, drinks and joyful carolers from Aquinas College to get shoppers in the festive mood.
From there, shoppers can peruse Beneath the Wreath offerings on Friday, November 9, from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. (with a special Sip & Shop event at 4 p.m.) and Saturday, November 10, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Purchase your tickets and shop Beneath the Wreath at the Cultural Center at St. Nicholas, 2250 East Paris Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
