Calling all writers, authors, editors, publishers, book club fanatics and avid lovers of books! The Women who Write Author Showcase returns Saturday, November 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Aquinas College's Donnelly Center.
The Women who Write Author Showcase is for writers and readers alike. In addition to female authors sharing their books, the showcase will feature vendors offering services to writers and a lineup of speakers sharing their secrets to writing, marketing and getting their books published:
- "From Fear to First Draft," Author Randy Otterbridge
- "Sell & Sign Marketing Strategies for Authors," Author Nicole Zaagman
- "Creating Profitable products and Services for Your Book," Kierra Jones, owner and CEO of House Capacity Publishing
Women who Write is the brainchild of Linda Otterbridge, owner and president of Hook a Sista Up, a platform that helps women entrepreneurs by bringing awareness to their business, promoting their work, and providing a supportive relationship with other female entrepreneurs as they launch and sustain their business through collaboration and mentorship.
Linda sought to provide a similar service for authors and writers through Women who Write.
"Anyone attending the event will leave with some great new books," Otterbridge said. "If you are a writer and want to write, you will make some great connections and receive some great resources to get you started on your writing journey."
Women who Write is free to attend, network and browse; the speaker series costs $15 per session. Learn more and register online.
