KDL Reads is a community reading event centered around award-winning author Jacqueline Woodson's book Brown Girl Dreaming. In her book, Woodson uses poetry to describe what it was like growing up as an African-American in the 1960s and 1970s.
On Thursday, May 26, at 6:30 p.m., at Comstock Park High School, Jacqueline Woodson will read portions of her powerful coming-of-age memoir, followed by a book sale and signing.
