Halloween isn't just for the kids. Check out these special Halloween night events in the area, for those twenty-one and older.
- Founders Halloween Spooktacular: Featuring Anoraak, Alexis, Tunde Olaniran, and Millie and Jam, Founders' annual Halloween bash is a great place to shake your (costumed) booty! The event begins at 9 p.m. and there is a $5 cover charge.
- Celebrate Dia de los Muertos at the Downtown Market, with music by DJ Adrian Butler, munchies by Tacos el Cuñado, and a costume contest. The party begins at 8 p.m., entry is free, and there's a cash bar.
- "Just Wicked" Halloween party at the JW Marriott features exclusive "R.I.P." packages, costume prizes, and entertainment by Digital Jones. The party begins at 9 p.m. and tickets are $10.
Pyramid Scheme Halloween Party features Michigan bands Stepdad, Sphynx, and Flint Eastwood. The event begins at 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $12-$14.- Monte's Lounge Halloween Bash features DJ Jimmy Coe, and a first-place costume prize of $1,000! Doors open at 8 p.m.
- Party "Til the Casket Drops" with BOTTOM40 at The Rezervoir Lounge. Tickets are $5 and the party begins at 9 p.m.
- JD Reardon's fourth annual Halloween Karaoke Party has a superheroes theme this year, and featured draft and cocktail specials. Karaoke begins at 9 p.m.
Staying home to hand out candy on Halloween? Celebrate the day after! These events take place November 1.
- The Zombie Apocalypse at the B.O.B. begins at 7 p.m., and features over $8,000 in cash and prizes for the best zombie costumes. Six stages of entertainment will provide a variety of music. Tickets are $10 in advance, $5 at the door if you're dressed as a zombie, and $15 at the door for all other costumes.
- Villains Take Over Dance Party at the Pyramid Scheme features costume and photo contests. Dress up as your favorite bad girl and join the party! The event begins at 9. Tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at the door.
- McFadden's Irish Saloon hosts Halloween on Ionia from 3 p.m. until midnight, featuring live DJs, heated tents, over $5,000 in cash prizes for best costumes, and a craft beer tent with more than fifteen Michigan craft beers. Tickets are $10 in advance, and a limited number will be sold at the gates for $15.
- Get your groove on at Pietro's Salsa Nights, starting at 10 p.m., featuring cash prizes and gift cards for best costumes, and Latin rhythms all night. Tickets are $8.
