Mary Hannon

Mary Hannon is a five-year survivor of Early Onset Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer, as well as a wife, mother, and Director of Marketing at Applied Innovation.

Through her cancer journey, Mary learned it’s important to be vigilant when it comes to her health and listening to her body. She’s also learned how to be an advocate for her personal health.

“Having cancer has helped me to understand my strength and capabilities,” Mary said. “It also opened my eyes to the goodness of others and the support that can be received by cancer patients if they are open to it.”

During her treatment, Mary frequently turned to information and education resources on the American Cancer Society website.

Mary’s goal is to be a resource to others, especially those with early onset CRC. She serves on the Board of Directors for Paltown, that foundation which supports Colontown, an online support and resource group for more than 10,000 patients and caregivers around the world impacted by colorectal cancer.

She also started a blog which served to be a creative and emotional outlet, while keeping friends and family updated: Five Hopes for One Fear – Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Sister Fighting Cancer.
