What started out in 1982 at a Western Massachusetts elderly housing project to joyfully pass the time instead of passing before your time has developed into the stereotype-defying, genre-bending, generation-crossing musical extravaganza better known as the [email protected] Chorus®.
From The New York Times to TIME, The Tonight Show to The Daily Show, and stars of the hit indie documentary [email protected], this group of seniors has toured from Northampton to New Zealand, Europe to Japan, proving it's "possible to grow old without growing boring" (The Dartmouth).
Now, Porter Hills is bringing this dynamic group to Grand Rapids for its Michigan debut on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. at DeVos Performance Hall. Tickets for [email protected]: Still Got It are on sale for $30, $48, and $58 at the DeVos Place and Van Andel Arena box offices, all Ticketmaster ticket centers, online at Ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 800.745.3000. VIP tickets are also available for $86 and include premier seating and a post-concert meet and greet reception. A portion of the proceeds from the show will benefit the Porter Hills Benevolent Fund.
Prepare to be entertained by this inspiring group of New England seniors who have delighted audiences worldwide with their covers of songs by everyone from The Clash to Coldplay.
"The floors will thud. The walls will shake. The innards of that old piano will take a licking they'll never forget. The [email protected] Chorus is warming up." —Irish Times
