GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., November 14, 2019—The 7th annual Wine & Wig event raised a record $51,371 this year. The sellout event and premier party of Breast Cancer Awareness Month once again joined forces with Komen Michigan, the American Cancer Society, Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids and the Van Andel Institute.
Since the event launch in 2013, West Michigan Woman has raised $212,783 to fund research, diagnostic, treatment and emotional support. The money is distributed through Serendipity Cares, the 501(c)(3) philanthropic arm of West Michigan Woman’s publisher, Serendipity Media, LLC.
“In the arena of Fund Raising for the cause of curing Cancer, there are probably few, if any, events across the nation that are more fun, better organized, and more impactful than West Michigan Woman's Wine and Wig.”—Wine & Wig Attendee
