TowerPinkster, AIA Grand Rapids

Anne Doornbos is an award-winning architect with TowerPinkster and is motivated by her own past mentor, Dan Woodfun, to now mentor others. Her experience focuses on civic, education, commercial, non-profit, and sacred spaces. A pioneering member of Kendall College of Art & Design’s first graduating cohort of their Master of Architecture program, Anne’s work, alongside many others, laid the foundation for the program’s accreditation and impactful ripple effect in the design community of West Michigan.

Nearly a decade later, Anne serves as president for the American Institute of Architects Grand Rapids chapter, where she led a scholarship endowment campaign and cofounded a mid-career mentorship program called THRIVE. Anne has been dedicated to investing in others for over 20 years through leadership, mentorship, and discipleship programs. She is passionate about building community, both professionally and personally.

Anne shares, “When I co-founded THRIVE, it was Dan Woodfin’s impact on my life as a mentor that fueled the creation of this program and helped us develop the framework of what a successful mentorship might look like. I’m very proud of the impact THRIVE has made on our community and am excited for the ways it will continue to help guide and shape careers, lives, and impact.”
