Founder and CEO, Armentality Group

Laura Armenta is a Mexican-born choreographer, interdisciplinary movement artist, keynote speaker, and the Founder and CEO of Armentality Group. With a career spanning four decades, she has dedicated her life to exploring and teaching diverse movement disciplines, including contemporary dance, ethnochoreology, yoga, and somatic movement practices.

Laura has taught at institutions in Mexico City, Canada, and West Michigan. She is the Founder and Director of the Laura Armenta Dance Company and Armentality Movement Arts Center, where she teaches and choreographs, believing that movement—especially dance—is a transformative tool for self-discovery and empowerment. A Somatic Leadership Training Specialist and keynote speaker, Laura is fluent in multiple languages and connects across cultures through movement. With a holistic approach to wellness, she continues to inspire and shape a future where movement fosters empowerment and unity. Her greatest contributions to the West Michigan community include striving to make movement arts accessible to all.

Laura says, “Building a business is a marathon, not a sprint. Focusing on consistent, meaningful progress and nurturing relationships with clients and collaborators has been far more rewarding than trying to rush to the end goal. The ability to remain steady and flexible is what has allowed me to sustain and grow my ventures over the years.”
