Engage with the West Michigan Woman Community!

With the fall season comes a bounty of flavors that can work their way into your cooking and baking in surprisingly simple ways. An obvious favorite for many folks? Pumpkin. If you're looking for recipes that embody all that's pumpkin this autumn, keep reading. We've gathered some of our favorites that are perfect for "spicing" up your fall kitchen.

TURKEY PUMPKIN CHILI
Full of protein and packed with flavor, this turkey pumpkin chili makes for a hearty meal. Even better? Each batch makes multiple meals so your whole family will be good to go for a couple days with this recipe. Surprising ingredients make this recipe shine, such as cocoa powder, pumpkin spices and of course, actual pumpkin.

HEALTHIER PUMPKIN BREAD
Don't let the "healthy" tag fool you—this recipe is deliciously indulgent and satisfying. Instead of traditional sugar, this recipe uses honey or maple syrup as a sweetener. You can make this loaf even more tasty by tossing in your additions of choice (my favorite option is semi-sweet chocolate chips).

CREAMY VEGAN PUMPKIN PASTA
I don't know about you, but pasta hits the spot every time for me. This creamy vegan pumpkin pasta is not only delicious, but it's also simple (hello canned pumpkin), customizable and is dairy-free, thanks to being made with plant milk. And let's be honest, the flavors of sage and garlic never miss the mark.

PUMPKIN PROTEIN PANCAKES
For some pumpkin flavor to start your fall days off right, consider these pumpkin protein pancakes. The gluten-free mix is made entirely in the blender and includes an ingredient that's found newfound popularity online recently for its versatility and amount protein: cottage cheese. That's right! Add in baking powder, spices, maple syrup, pumpkin, eggs and oats, and you've got yourself a fluffy stack that's sure to please.
