Atkins, paleo, cardio, strength-training, fasting, cleansing ... There are so many health fads out there, it's hard to know what's worth your time, money, and willpower. Expert evaluation and guidance can make all of the difference in getting results, as well as in establishing healthy living patterns that are sustainable for the long term.

Peaches McCahill's M Power Studio in East Grand Rapids provides clients with expertise and coaching, assisting them in creating a wellness plan encompassing exercise, nutrition, and healthy behavior, depending on the individual client's needs.

McCahill brings thirty years' experience in the field of corporate fitness, and has assembled a team of personal trainers, nutritionists, and life coaches to assist clients in reaching their goals. "People may be exercising, but not losing weight. Working with a trainer can change that," McCahill said. M Power's trainers are seasoned, and trained to work with the aging body. "You don't have to be an athlete to stay in shape." In addition to guided exercise plans, McCahill notes that nutrition awareness will also help clients overcome their fitness plateaus.

The M Power Studio offers massage therapy, private space for meetings, lockers and changing rooms, and a state-of-the-art gym that includes TRX systems, kettle bells, and kickboxing. High-quality protein, vitamin, probiotic, and enzyme supplements are also available.

The M Power services menu offers a fifteen-minute Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA); fifty-minute in-depth assessment and recommendation sessions, including a BIA analysis and two-week meal plan; and a three-hour M Power Signature session, in which a team of nutritionists, wellness coaches, and trainers create a customized plan for diet and exercise. Twenty-five minute coaching sessions are also available.

In addition, M Power offers special sessions for high school and college athletes seeking peek performance; brides-to-be wishing to shape up for their special day and establish good habits for their "happily ever after"; pantry makeovers, supplement information, and assistance with particular health challenges such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and other concerns; and programs to help begin gluten-fee, vegetarian, or raw food diets (or integrate aspects of these diets into a meal plan).
